IAMFC Graduate Student Awards


In continuing IAMFC's focus on recognizing graduate student excellence and involvement in the Marriage and Family Counseling feild, the Student Practitioner Award and the Student Research Award will be presented in the coming year.

Student Practitioner Award

This award serves to recognize excellence in the practice of family counseling by an IAMFC Graduate Student member. This award will honor an IAMFC Graduate Student whose work as a counselor, including internship and practicum experience, has been outstanding in meeting the needs of families in counseling. Letter of nomination should provide examples illustrating the student counselor's use of innovative strategies, family-based interventions, and the ability to meet the needs of diverse populations.

Graduate Student Research Award

This award recognizes outstanding quantitative and/or qualitative student research that provides a significant contribution to the field of marriage and family counseling, including the training and supervision of marriage and family counselors.
